PARTY IN THE PARK

On the 26th May the Parish Council organised Party in the Park at the Eskdale Road playing fields. The weather didn't look promising but it turned out fine apart from one heavy shower around 4 o'clock. On offer to the residents that attended was musical entertainment from the band Counting Colours, soloists Laura Williams, Jo Morris and Paul Adams as well as the Rock Choir and Indian dancing.  A late addition to the running order was local resident Lily Mae, a finalist in the Song Academy song competition.

The Bull public house and The Coffee Stop provided the liquid refreshments whilst the food options ranged from Greek to Italian to Asian plus traditional baguettes and ice creams.

This year the craft stalls were in their own marquee so they were more visible whilst there were gazebos advertising the Village Society, the Church and Berks Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust.

Lastly, there was a fun fair with a choice of rides for the children,
